It will begin to melt. Heat moves from one location of high heat to another of low heat. The ice cube does not make your hand cold. In reality, the heat from your hand warms the ice cube. So this is why it melts. This is exactly what happens in an elephant's ears when his body temperature exceeds that of his surroundings.
